Illustrating Bigotry: Anti-Irish and Anti-Catholic Cartoons by Thomas Nast

Admission: Free
Through analysis of selected cartoons, this exhibition examines the political and cultural sources of Nast’s prejudice, identifies the strategies and stereotypes he employed, and reveals some enduring methods for demonizing “the other” that are still common today.
All the works in this exhibition are the gift of Judith and Norman Zlotsky to the Saint Joseph College Art Gallery.
On Wednesday, February 16 at 5:00 p.m. Ann H. Sievers, director and curator will give a Gallery Talk on the exhibition. This event is free and open to the public.
5th Annual Indoor Sprint Triathlon

Perfect for beginners who want a taste of a triathlon and the veteran athlete, the race consists of three 20 minute legs (swimming, biking and running). Form a relay team or compete individually.
Advance registration required; this event is for women ages 14 and older.
