Saint Joseph College’s new School of Pharmacy has received Precandidate Accreditation status for its Doctor of Pharmacy program by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), the third approval required for the School to matriculate students this fall.

Illustrating Bigotry: Anti-Irish and Anti-Catholic Cartoons by Thomas Nast

Through analysis of selected cartoons, this exhibition examines the political and cultural sources of Nast’s prejudice, identifies the strategies and stereotypes he employed, and reveals some enduring  methods for demonizing “the other” that are still common today.

All the works in this exhibition are the gift of Judith and Norman Zlotsky to the Saint Joseph College Art Gallery.

On Wednesday, February 16 at 5:00 p.m. Ann H. Sievers, director and curator will give a Gallery Talk on the exhibition. This event is free and open to the public.

5th Annual Indoor Sprint Triathlon

Are your children or grandchildren looking for an exciting summer experience at your alma mater? Are you a teacher who wants to integrate the arts in your classroom teaching?

Each summer children aged 9 – 14 collaborate with teachers and graduate students to create a professional quality performance on the stage of Hoffman Auditorium in The Carol Autorino Center for the Arts and Humanities.

Teachers include Saint Joseph College faculty and staff, professional artists, and faculty from the National Dance Institute, founded by Jacques d’Amboise H’03 (Saint Joseph College H’03).

Father Stack taught in the Religious Studies department at Saint Joseph College nearly 50 years, hepassed away on February 3, 2011.

2nd Annual CT Walks for Haiti

St. Peter Claver Church, 147 Pleasant Street, West Hartford

The 2.8 mile walk around West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square will raise money for projects to aid Haitians.  The Walk will be preceded by a cultural program. There will also be Haitian food and crafts and a silent auction.
