With your partner, think about the following questions and begin to formulate a plan for organizing your friend’s birthday party.  Your party will be held at your home, so you do not need to reserve money in your budget for a facility.

Keep your party

planning worksheet   with you and jot down ideas for each category.

First you will need to invite your guests.  In order to do this, you will need to determine how many people you want to invite.  Do you want to have a large or small party?

Next, you will need to order the food, beverages, and birthday cake for the party.  Keep in mind that your total budget for the party is $500.

Do you still have room in your budget to buy any streamers, balloons, or birthday hats?  If you do, think about what decorations you would like to purchase for the party.

Do you want to order anything else for the party?  Do you want to hire a DJ to play some music, or do you want to hire a clown to entertain your guests?  This last step is up to you.  If you still have room in your budget and would like to add anything for the party, you may.  But remember, you cannot exceed your budget!
