Sample web site for a first-year
composition student at
Agnes Rafalko's first attempt at a web site resulted in an easy-to-navigate site with crisp page layouts. The site contains a webbed time capsule, course papers–including her position paper and research based on participation in online Intercollegiate Electronic Democracy Project (IEDP)–and biographical data. Note the use of photographs on the time capsule and biography sections. URL: http://ww2.sjc.edu/student_pages/arafalko/main
Sample web site for another first-year
composition student at Saint Joseph College and her companion web site created
the following semester for a computer science course
Kelley Maloney's original site for English class is her first attempt at web authoring. Her site contains course papers, her webbed time capsule, and information about personal interests. Observe how Kelley integrates photographs into her memoir and time capsule. URL: http://www.sjc.edu/jarzt/Kelly.htm
Kelley Maloney's computer science web site is a spin off of her English research paper on teen suicide. On the new site, Kelley employs bulleted lists, achieving a concise writing style, and correlates her backgrounds with her message. URL: http://ww2.sjc.edu/student_pages/kmaloney
Sample web site for another first-year
composition student at
Danielle Marie Boulanger's web site is similar in design layout and navigation to that of other students in her class, all first-time web authors. Danielle's site includes course papers, her time capsule, and links to sites that reflect her interests and hobbies. URL: http://ww2.sjc.edu/student_pages/dboulanger
Sample of four
collaboratively designed web sites done by University of Wyoming students

Sample of a course web site designed
collaboratively by students at the University of Rhode Island
Linda Shamoon's students' Web Sites at University of Rhode Island also relate to IEDP participation and are another example of students working collaboratively to create sites. URL: http://lshamoon.homestead.com
Samples of web sites designed for
Computers in the Classroom course
The teachers in
this course designed individual web sites. The following sites exemplify the
approach taken. In addition to software reviews and software lesson plans, the
teachers include PowerPoint presentations and Internet lessons for their
students.
