In addition to the links provided below for viewing samples off the Internet, please note that if you are on campus, you can access PowerPoint samples from the college network.  Open PowerPoint and look in the J drive for a folder called “PowerPoint Samples.”  This folder contains about a dozen sample PowerPoint presentations.  For your convenience, however, I have placed samples displays on the Internet. Check this page periodically for updates.

This presentation makes outstanding use of PowerPoint features and shows trigonometry’s practical relevancy.

 History of Berlin

See a presentation that makes use of scanned illustrations.  This presentation on the history of Berlin, CT was used with elementary students who were studying the history of their hometown (Berlin).

A straightforward presentation is given about using literature circles in the elementary classroom.

This sample was created by a seventh-grade student in a pull-out special education resources room for use in his regular social studies class.  Creating and showing the presentation in front of his peers helped his self-esteem, according to his teacher, Valeria Flynn.

Here is one created by a Latin teacher for use with her middle school students.  The photographs and animation on this presentation are impressive, and the teacher’s sense of humor is an added bonus.
