Purpose and Background
This assignment requires
designing an Internet lesson plan for students. The lesson can focus on using
the Internet as a research tool or consulting the Internet to complete a
step-by-step project sheet. Review
model Internet lesson plans before you write your own. You can access samples
on the Web, and you should consult references listed below. Your written instructions to the students
need to include link for them to access online materials. You are encouraged
to have students try out Internet plan.
Required Parts of Plan
Introduction:
state the unit of study and the grade level
Objectives:
state these as measurable, student-behavioral outcomes
Materials:
list materials students will need to complete the lesson
Web
Sites: give names and addresses
Lesson
Sequence: list and explain activities, and include time allotments
Follow
Up: list any necessary follow up, such as homework assignments
Assessment:
list and explain how learning objectives will be assessed
Handouts:
include assignment sheets or other instructional handouts, preferably ones
that you design
Optional:
create the student component as part of your web site!

Grading Criteria
Inclusion of all "Required Parts
of the Plan": 40 %
Clarity of the lesson plan: 20 %
Writing skills (mechanics, usage, and
diction): 20 %
Demonstrated knowledge of effective
strategies to integrate the Internet into the classroom: 20 %
If you do the web site component, you
are likely to demonstrate strong competency in the last criteria listed.
