This journal exercise should help you with clarifying the purpose and direction of your Memoir. These prompts are taken from the Call to Write (page 189). Respond to all the prompts.

Impetus: What made you select the topic that you did?

Purpose: What effect do you want to have on your audience?

Direction: How do you think you can go about achieving this effect?

Challenges: What writing challenges do you think you will face as you work on your memoir? How do you anticipate getting around these challenges?
