Tuesday 8 October	Review of IEDP Assignment 2. Commentary Assignment. See sample commentaries.	Read CTW, pp. 328-367 and MR, pp. 78-128. Select from MR, an essay that relates to a topic interest you. Journal 12. Read sample commentaries. Continue IEDP; see IEDP Assignment 2. *** IEDP Assignment 2 and Journals 11 and 12 will be collected 11 Oct. Bring disk with Memoir and Profile to 11 Oct. class!
Thursday 11 October	Review journals 11 and 12. Web site work. MLA Citation Format	IEDP Assignment 3. due next class. Find newspaper and magazine articles related to your topic. In your commentary, use these articles, essays from MR, and posts from IEDP posts. Use MLA citations. Draft commentary and bring two copies to class for peer review. ARC appointments. Bring LBC to next class.
Tuesday 16 October	Peer review of commentary. IEDP. LBC section on appropriate and exact words, pp. 130-143, and conciseness, pp. 145-150. MLA Citation Format Online activity on word choices.	Continue IEDP. Revise commentary. ARC appointments. Final copy of commentary is due 18 Oct.
