Sexually Transmitted Diseases Web Quest

Introduction: (5 minutes)

Sexual activity has many consequences for young children. Sexually transmitted diseases are one of these consequences. So how does an adolescent protect themselves against these infections? In this web quest, you will learn how an STD can affect the body as well as how to prevent it.

Today you will be using the Internet to research information about a sexually transmitted disease. You will work with a partner to complete this lesson. In the beginning of class, you or your partner picked an index card with an STD listed on it. Whichever disease is listed on your card is the topic you will research.

Your task is to read and answer questions about the disease you are researching. Once you have completed the STD worksheet you will create a presentation to educate the rest of the class about the disease you investigated.

Note: Be sure you obtain enough information to describe the STD.
