The School for Young Children Camp is back for another fun-filled summer!

Activities will include:

  • creative and dramatic arts
  • music and movement
  • science and nature
  • water play
    ….and much, much more!


Our camp is designed for children 3½ to 5 years of age. Children must be 3 by January 1, 2008 or must still be 5 years at the onset of the session
enrolled.

Camp offers six two-week sessions. An early morning drop-off is available for an additional fee.

 

 

2008 Camp Dates and Sessions

Book It
Session 1 - May 27 - June 6

“Once upon a time, in a land far, far away……” Children will make books, read books, discover new books, act out books, and much more. Campers will delight in the various genres of writing while creating their own unique style of literature.


Out the Door, Let’s Explore
Session 2 - June 9 - June 20

Children will delight in discovering the wonders of nature through an abundance of hands-on experiences. Who knows what we’ll discover with approximately 6 acres of outside space, a beautiful nature trail, proximity to parks and gardens, and a wide open field all at our disposal?


Make, Bake and Take
Session 3 - June 23 - July 3

This is Cookonomics 101. Campers will engage in a multitude of recipes and cooking experiences from edible products to baked clay beads. Get the pots and pans ready! We’re cookin’!


Construction Production
Session 4 - July 7 - July 18

“If I had a hammer…..” Children will create fun and unique learning experiences involving various building materials. Form and function will take on new meaning as children create one-of-a-kind configurations.

We’re Young at Art
Session 5 - July 21 - August 1

Campers will have the opportunity to use and explore their creative abilities while experimenting with a variety of art media. An art show will culminate this popular camp session.


Olympics 2008
Session 6 - August 4 - August 15

From the opening ceremony to the closing events, the spirit and joy of the Olympic games will be recreated here at camp. Children will have the opportunity to participate in various summer sporting events promoting physical development.

Hours:

Half day: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Full day: 7:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Early AM drop-off: 7:45—9:00 a.m.

 

Tuition:

Half day: $335 per session
Full Day: $555 per session
Early AM drop off: $10/day
