TEACHER ACTIVITIES

Finger painting on packing bubbles gives children a multi-sensory experience. Use a piece of construction paper to make a print or display the painted packing bubbles themselves.

Freeze diluted paint in ice cube trays. Remember to stick a popsicle stick in each one for a handle. Children shown here are painting a table covered in butcher paper.

Children enjoy exploring scientific principles through mixing colors. Shown above and right are large test tubes, eye droppers and liquid colors on a messy tray. This activity invites children to independently explore.

Another approach to mixing colors is using large blocks of ice, eye droppers and liquid colors in the sensory table. Again, we try to create environments that are inviting to children and encourage independent exploration.
